Nano Bio-spectroscopy

The research activities of the group Nano Bio-spectroscopy is at the interface of nanoscience, spectroscopy, and biomedicine. It focusses on the design of nanoscale tools acting as ideal interfaces to interrogate biological systems, at different scales. It relies on the elaboration of hybrid nanomaterials and their integration into theranostic agents or advanced "all optical" sensing devices for biological-related applications. The group develops original strategies for the functionalization of nanoparticles (NPs), based on aryl diazonium salt chemistry (Fig. 1) and their use as surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy labels for Raman bioimaging (Fig. 2).
